OLPC Afghanistan first deployment ceremony of handing over the XO Laptops to Estiqlal High School children took place in the Governor Palace Jalalabad on March 17th, 2009. Deputy Minister for Education Afghanistan, Deputy Minister Communication & IT, Deputy Governor Ningarhar, Director Education Ningarhar, OLPC Afghanistan Project Manager, PAIWASTOON CEO, OLPC Afghanistan Technical Implementation Manager, OLPC Afghanistan team, School Principle, teachers, parents and high official bodies both from Central as well as Provincial government were present at the ceremony. The class possition holders were handed over XO Laptops and the remaining children were given laptops in school. |
